Job Summary We are looking for a Work Permit Receiver with mandatory SABIC experience to manage, track, and coordinate work permits during the upcoming shutdown/turnaround. The Work Permit Receiver will ensure all work activities comply strictly with SABIC's permit-to-work (PTW) system, safety procedures, and shutdown protocols. This role demands experience with SABIC-specific systems, attention to detail, and strong coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, review, and acknowledge SABIC-issued work permits for shutdown/turnaround activities.
Ensure all work is authorized, documented, and compliant with SABIC safety and PTW requirements.
Verify that all necessary safety precautions, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments are implemented before work begins.
Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and safety officers to ensure adherence to PTW conditions.
Maintain accurate records of all received, active, and closed permits.
Communicate clearly with work teams regarding scope, duration, and restrictions of permits.
Escalate discrepancies, unsafe conditions, or permit violations immediately to supervisors or safety teams.
Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with PTW guidelines.
Support shutdown planning by tracking pending, active, and completed permits.
Participate in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and permit audits.
Job requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of work permit experience in SABIC shutdowns/turnarounds (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of SABIC PTW systems, LOTO procedures, and shutdown safety protocols.
Preferred Certifications:
SABIC/Aramco Work Permit Holder certification.
Safety training (LOTO, H2S, Industrial Safety).
