We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Work Migration Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for our organization's success, as you'll be responsible for the seamless planning, execution, and verification of migrating our systems, applications, and data from one environment to another. This includes on-premise to cloud migrations, data center consolidations, and platform upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure, networking, and data management, and possess a proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving
Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
Plan and design migration strategies: Develop comprehensive migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Execute migrations: Perform hands-on work to migrate applications, servers, databases, and data stores. This includes configuring new environments and ensuring data integrity throughout the process.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Identify and fix any technical problems that arise during the migration, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to ensure a smooth transition.
Document processes: Create and maintain detailed documentation of migration procedures, configurations, and post-migration validation results.
Automate tasks: Use scripting and automation tools to streamline the migration process and improve efficiency.
Provide post-migration support: Offer technical support and guidance to users and teams after the migration is complete.
