Testing & Commissioning Engineers (T&C) – Transmission Line & Substation

Location: Kutch, Gujarat

Contract: 1 Year

PROJECT DETAILS

  1. Transmission Line (TL) – 765 kV, 250 km (3 EPC Packages)

  • 765 kV Double Circuit (D/C) Transmission Line – 250 km stretch

  • Route: Kutch 765/400 kV Z2-MPSS to 765/400 kV Load Pooling Substation (LPSS)

  • Involves 3 EPC contractors across multiple workfronts

  • T&C scope includes verification of TL equipment, inspection of line components, continuity checks, conductor testing, and coordination during energization

2. Substation (SS) – SPS#2 – 400 kV Sub-Pooling Stations

  • 3 Nos. of 400 kV Sub-Pooling Substations (Z2-SPSS)

  • Each station: 1.2 GW RTC capacity

  • Scope includes equipment installation validation, testing & commissioning of transformers, switchgear, bays, protection systems, control systems, SCADA, and AC/DC supply systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct testing & commissioning of TL and Substation electrical systems

  • Perform continuity tests, insulation resistance, primary/secondary injection testing

  • Testing of protection relays, CTs, CVTs, PTs, circuit breakers, isolators, and bus systems

  • Support energization activities for TL & Substation equipment

  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEM engineers, planning teams, and PMC site teams

  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements

  • Troubleshoot faults during T&C activities and ensure timely resolution

  • Prepare T&C reports, checklists, as-built documentation, and commissioning records

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: BE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience: 12–15 years in Testing & Commissioning for Transmission Line or Substation

  • Mandatory hands-on experience in 400 kV / 765 kV systems

  • Strong knowledge of protection, control, SCADA, and high-voltage equipment
