Testing & Commissioning Engineer | STG Power | Philippines

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineer with a strong Mechanical background for a Steam Turbine Generator (STG) Power Plant project. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing commissioning activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for STG systems.

• Review and verify mechanical completion, system readiness, and punch points clearance.

• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and client teams for smooth commissioning execution.

• Perform testing of mechanical systems including turbines, auxiliaries, pumps, valves, and piping systems.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and safety procedures.

• Prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, and reports.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and startup phases.

• Support performance testing and reliability runs.

• Maintain proper documentation and handover records.

• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine Generator (STG) systems

• Expertise in mechanical commissioning and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)

• Good coordination and communication skills

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in thermal power plants or large-scale energy projects

• Prior international project exposure preferred

• Experience working with EPC contractors or as a consultant
