Overview

Our client is seeking a junior/mid-level, technical candidate willing to transition into this product Owner position. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technology, partnering closely with engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

The ideal candidate combines strong Product Owner or Product Management experience with a solid technical foundation, particularly around APIs, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and software delivery practices. This individual will own product backlogs, drive requirements definition, and help guide teams through the full software development lifecycle.

Experience within highly regulated environments such as banking, financial services, healthcare, or insurance is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Analyze business challenges and market opportunities, translating them into actionable product initiatives.

  • Learn to Define product vision, roadmap, and feature priorities.

  • Prioritize product backlog based on customer value, business impact, and ROI.

Technical Collaboration

  • Partner closely with architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Support initiatives involving APIs, integrations, and Event-Driven Architectures.

  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Help bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting software delivery

  • Experience working in Agile environments

  • Understanding of APIs and integration patterns

  • Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture concepts

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous application development experience

  • Experience with microservices architectures

  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other regulated industries

  • Leadership or team mentoring experience

  • Experience working with distributed systems and enterprise integration platforms
