Job Description:

  • The work includes supporting the plants day-to-day DR needs, supporting small and large engineering projects on site, assisting with occasional after-hours/extended hours DR coverage focused on IFM.

  • Civil and mechanical construction experience required.

Work Schedule:

The role is primarily day shift, typically 8-hour days, with occasional extended hours and weekends as needed.

Start Date:

The anticipated start is sometime in August. The plant expects this to be a long-term position.

General Responsibilities:

The Field Service Organization is committed to providing the best personnel for each project. As projects vary in scope and complexity, some may require specific technical expertise or multiple representatives. Individuals requesting designated representatives should select those best suited to protect the client’s interests throughout the project.

Job requirements

General responsibilities include:

  • Monitor contractor safety and ensure adherence to site-specific safety requirements

  • Communicate site emergency procedures to contractors

  • Inform contractors of any process hazards in their work area

  • Ensure proper permitting procedures are followed

  • Verify that contractors utilize qualified personnel (e.g., welders, equipment operators)

  • Ensure compliance with 3M specifications, drawings, and contract terms

  • Maintain proper documentation for tests and contractor activities

  • Keep daily records of contractor work

  • Assist contractors with technical questions related to fabrication, installation, wiring, piping, etc.

  • Promote use of industry best practices during construction

  • Verify accuracy of Contractor Cost Plus Time Sheets (Form 5611) and invoices

  • Initiate Field Change Requests as necessary

  • Conduct weekly construction meetings

  • Coordinate efforts between contractors and craft disciplines

  • Maintain all pertinent project documentation and correspondence

  • Keep an accurate set of project drawings

  • Maintain communication with key plant personnel to minimize impact on plant productivity and personnel safety.
