Overview

We are seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to lead the design, development, verification, and optimization of advanced FPGA-based digital systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in VHDL development, firmware design, FPGA architectures, high-speed interfaces, and system-level verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of digital circuits and FPGA-based systems using VHDL.

  • Develop firmware to support hardware design and functionality.

  • Perform design verification and validation through simulations and testing.

  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and architecture teams to define requirements and technical solutions.

  • Debug and optimize FPGA hardware/software interactions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

  • Plan project schedules and manage development resources.

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement of development methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Verilog.

  • Experience with UVM.

  • Experience with Embedded C/C++.

  • Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading FPGA projects.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 8–15 years of FPGA and digital design experience.

  • Strong experience developing firmware for FPGA-based systems.

  • Expert-level proficiency in VHDL.

  • Experience with FPGA design tools such as Xilinx and/or Altera (Intel FPGA).

  • Experience with PCIe, Ethernet (1G/10G), TSN, and system-level design and verification.

  • Strong knowledge of FPGA architectures and high-speed digital design.

  • Experience with DO-254 certification processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
