Job Title: Safety Officer
Salary Grade: SAR 4,000-4,500 + FAT
Employment Type: Visit Visa
Duty Hours: 12 Hours / Day, 7 Days / Week

Job Summary The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with HSE policies, local regulations, and international safety standards. The role requires proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of workplace hazards, with a strong emphasis on implementing best safety practices across all operational areas. NEBOSH certification is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with SABIC standards and local regulations.
Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Promote a strong safety culture through awareness programs, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Maintain HSE records, documentation, and compliance reports as per regulatory and corporate requirements.
Collaborate with operations and management teams to implement safety improvements and emergency response plans.
Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
Job requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory: NEBOSH International General Certificate or NEBOSH National Certificate.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in the chemical or petrochemical sector.
Preferred:
Experience working in large-scale chemical or petrochemical plants.
Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Environmental Management
