Job description
Job Purpose
The Rotating Supervisor will lead, supervise, and execute all rotating equipment maintenance activities during major plant shutdown/turnaround at SABIC sites. The role ensures safe, timely, and high-quality inspection, repair, and reassembly of critical rotating equipment as per SABICs engineering and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all mechanical maintenance and overhaul activities for rotating equipment during shutdown.
Coordinate with planners, QA/QC, HSE, and operations teams to ensure job readiness and smooth execution.
Lead teams including millwrights, riggers, fitters, and technicians.
Monitor job progress daily and ensure compliance with shutdown schedules and quality standards.
Review job packages, drawings, datasheets, and OEM manuals before execution.
Ensure strict compliance with SABIC EHSS protocols, Permit-to-Work, and LOTO procedures.
Conduct daily toolbox talks, JSAs, and safety briefings.
Perform alignment, mechanical clearance checks, and tolerance verification during reassembly.
Coordinate with OEM reps (e.g., Howden) for specialized equipment.
Manage punch-list closure, documentation, and handover for startup.

Salary: SAR 4,000 4,500 + FAT

Working Hours: 12 Hours/Day, 7 Days/Week
Experience: Minimum 5 years of Shutdown experience

Job requirements
Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field.
810 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance; minimum 5 years in shutdowns (preferably SABIC).
Strong experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, or ammonia plants.
Key Competencies
Expert knowledge of rotating equipment shutdown practices, overhauling, balancing, and alignment.
Understanding of API standards (API 617, 618).
Ability to read P&IDs, technical manuals, and OEM documentation.
Skilled in rigging, lifting operations, and field logistics.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

OSHA/NEBOSH (Added Advantage)
Working Conditions
Field-based job with long working hours during shutdown.
Exposure to heat, rotating equipment, noise, and confined spaces.
Day/night shift rotation depending on shutdown progress.
