Job description

The Rotating Equipment Engineer will provide expert advisory support on the reliability and integrity of rotating machinery across capital projects and MOC (Management of Change) activities. The role ensures equipment reliability in accordance with national and international standards and supports both Production and Maintenance teams in resolving complex rotating equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advisory functions on reliability and mechanical integrity of rotating equipment.

  • Ensure compliance of rotating machinery in capital projects and MOC processes with relevant standards.

  • Develop, review, and update maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for machinery failures and ensure implementation of corrective actions.

  • Provide technical support during shutdowns/turnarounds, inspections, and ongoing maintenance activities.

  • Support mechanical integrity, safety, and reliability improvement initiatives across the site.

  • Participate with SMEs in reliability methodologies such as RCM, RBI, and RIS.

  • Perform reliability improvement studies addressing chronic issues, repeated failures, and equipment obsolescence.

  • Support implementation of SABIC ATC SMS standards, best practices, bad actor resolution plans, and technical alerts.

Job requirements

Location: Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia
Salary: SAR 10,000 (All-inclusive)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in rotating machinery within Technical Support, Maintenance, or Inspection roles in large Chemical, Fertilizer, or Petrochemical complexes.
