Job Description: Quality Engineer III
Hudson Manpower's Information Technology department is seeking a Quality Engineer III to join our team. As a Quality Engineer III, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through testing and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, as well as develop and implement quality assurance processes.
You will be both a leader and a hands-on contributor—designing testing strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and building scalable automation frameworks that integrate seamlessly with modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership: Define and implement shift-left testing strategies, preventive QA approaches, and automation-first practices across teams.
Test Automation: Build and maintain test automation frameworks leveraging Karate, Selenium, BDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
API & Integration Testing: Lead deep API testing, service virtualization, and cloud-native test environments to validate mission-critical systems.
Performance & Scalability: Conduct performance testing using JMeter and other tools to ensure retail applications perform reliably under high load.
Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with business goals.
Data & Risk Management: Design robust test data management strategies, ensure data integrity, and use predictive models to forecast risks.
Mentorship & Culture: Mentor QA engineers, promote quality-first thinking, and embed continuous improvement into team culture.
Required Skills
6+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience, with proven leadership across multiple teams.
Proficiency in Karate, Selenium, and REST API testing.
Strong background in performance testing (JMeter or similar).
Experience with BDD frameworks, test automation, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Familiarity with service virtualization and cloud testing environments.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate testing insights into business impact.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the retail or grocery industry.
Exposure to POS systems, pickup order platforms, or large-scale transaction systems.
Familiarity with cloud-native observability tools (Azure Monitor, Datadog, or Splunk).
