Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner / Capability Rationalization Lead to drive capability documentation, analysis, and platform rationalization for a large-scale modernization and automation initiative. This role bridges business analysis, product strategy, and UX research, ensuring that capabilities are clearly defined, user needs are understood, and redundancy across platforms is eliminated.
The ideal candidate has experience in capability modeling, persona development, and platform assessments, and can partner closely with product, technology, and UX teams to guide decisions that shape the future platform.

Key Responsibilities
Capability Modeling & Rationalization
Ability to structure a capability framework at Level 1–2 granularity.
Experience assessing redundancy, platform fit, and retirement opportunities.
Business Analysis & Documentation
Strong at eliciting requirements and documenting business processes.
Skilled at writing capability briefs (what, why, who, how).
User Persona & Role Mapping
Experience in user role modeling and persona mapping.
Ability to translate monolithic role structures into future state, role-based models.
UX Research Orientation
Not a pure researcher, but able to partner with UX teams.
Can apply a UX lens to “why” and “how” capabilities are used.
Platform & Tech Awareness
Comfortable comparing platforms (Salesforce, Pega, proprietary systems).
Can partner with tech leads on rationalization decisions.
Low-Code/No-Code Awareness
Familiarity with forms modernization and citizen-developer models.
Tool Proficiency
Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint.
Exposure to Jira Product Discovery (for backlog hydration and visualization)
Job requirements
Qualifications
7+ years in business analysis, capability modeling, or enterprise product management.
Strong background in platform rationalization and process/documentation design.
Experience in persona mapping and role-based system transitions.
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Pega, Salesforce, Appian, Power Apps).
Proficiency with Jira, and Confluence.
Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, business-ready insights.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Exposure to UX research methods and ability to apply a user-centric lens to capability analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred
Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
Background in modernization and automation initiatives (AI/ML exposure a plus).
Familiarity with large-scale platform consolidation projects.
