Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Designer II to help design and enhance next-generation retail Point-of-Sale (POS) experiences. This role focuses on user research, UX design, prototyping, usability testing, and stakeholder collaboration to create intuitive experiences for customers and store associates. The ideal candidate has strong UX fundamentals, experience working in Agile environments, and expertise in translating user insights into scalable product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
User Research & Discovery
Conduct user interviews, contextual inquiries, observations, and usability testing.
Identify workflow inefficiencies and usability challenges.
Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research findings.
Translate user needs into actionable product improvements.
UX & Product Design
Design intuitive and user-centered experiences.
Create Personas, Journey Maps, User Flows, Service Blueprints, Wireframes, and Prototypes.
Produce design documentation and implementation guidance.
Develop high-fidelity designs using Figma.
Collaboration & Facilitation
Facilitate design workshops and discovery sessions.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, QA teams, and Operations stakeholders.
Present design concepts and influence decision-making across teams.
Agile Delivery
Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.
Validate design quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement
Conduct usability testing and validation activities.
Analyze user feedback and metrics to improve experiences.
Explore and leverage AI-enabled design tools and workflows.
Job requirements
Required Qualifications
3+ years of Product Design, UX Design, or related experience.
Strong UX research and user-centered design experience.
Hands-on expertise with Figma.
Experience conducting usability testing and user interviews.
Experience creating:
Personas
Journey Maps
User Flows
UX Documentation
Strong workshop facilitation skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate research findings into design recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Retail industry experience.
Point-of-Sale (POS) experience.
Service Blueprint creation experience.
Enterprise software design experience.
Experience conducting in-store observational research.
Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with customer-facing and associate-facing retail systems.
