An experienced consulting professional with a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required; an advanced degree is beneficial.
5–8 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology is required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Note – Candidate has to support from 12 PM – 9 PM ET
Role Overview
Senior technical lead providing L2 production support for critical payment applications. Individuals will work closely with application development teams and infrastructure support groups to ensure systems are highly available.
Technical Support L2 (Application and Infrastructure Support with DevOps knowledge)
Technical Expertise
Excellent knowledge of Unix, SQL, and Linux systems
Hands-on scripting experience (Python / Shell / PowerShell) on Unix/Linux platforms
Experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, and ServiceNow tools
ITIL/ITSM certification is preferable
Operational Activities
Monitoring: Regular monitoring of batch jobs and CICS online regions
Impact analysis: Identifying impacted components for enhancements
Root cause analysis: Troubleshooting production errors
Scheduling: Modifying and monitoring production mainframe jobs
Balancing: Handling daily/weekly balancing procedures
Analyzing: Identifying root causes and implementing solutions

Maintains and supports moderately complex applications and environments
Performs complex troubleshooting as SME in one or more applications
Ensures appropriate monitoring and alerting setup
Leads root cause analysis and problem management
Collaborates with business and application development teams
Leads production readiness reviews for new releases
Validates supportability before production deployment
Monitors changes to applications and operating environments
Analyzes complex issues and recommends solutions
Reviews and updates contingency documentation
Performs periodic disaster recovery tests
Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all environments
May review/execute Change Management scripts
Leads major incident management calls for high-priority incidents
Mentors/guides junior team members
