Job requirements

Job Purpose

The Process Control System Specialist is responsible for advanced technical support, optimization, and reliability of process control and automation systems. The role focuses on improving plant performance through control system analysis, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and implementation of advanced control strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert support for process control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
Monitor and optimize automation and control system performance to improve plant efficiency and reliability.
Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system failures.
Support implementation of advanced process control (APC) strategies and automation improvements.
Participate in control system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance system reliability and plant performance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical teams when required.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Control Systems Engineering / Electronics Engineering or related field.

Experience:
Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Process Control Systems, preferably within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industry.

Technical Skills

Strong experience with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
Knowledge of advanced process control (APC) and automation technologies
Experience in control system troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability improvement
Familiarity with international instrumentation and control engineering standards
