Job requirements

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Planner with strong expertise in petrochemical and oil & gas contracting projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Primavera P6, project scheduling, forecasting, and turnaround/shutdown planning within petrochemical plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Prepare baseline schedules, resource loading (up to Level 5), and progress tracking.

  • Monitor project performance and prepare forecast completion dates.

  • Support Mega Turnaround, Turnaround, and Shutdown planning activities.

  • Coordinate with Project Manager and Client for schedule updates and execution strategy.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Track manpower, equipment, and productivity during shutdown activities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in petrochemical / hazardous environments.

  • Assist in planning mechanical, erection, hydrojetting, catalyst handling, heavy lift, and industrial cleaning works.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas contracting projects.

  • Experience in Mega Turnaround, Turnaround & Shutdown projects.

  • Experience with reputed contracting companies handling:

    • Mechanical works

    • Erection works

    • Industrial cleaning in petrochemical plants

  • Work experience in Jubail / Yanbu preferred.

  • Similar petrochemical experience in India may also be considered.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred from reputed institution).

  • Primavera (P6) Certification – Mandatory

  • PMI Certification – Preferred


Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in:

    • Primavera P6 scheduling

    • Forecasting and progress monitoring

    • Resource loading up to Level 5

    • Shutdown & turnaround planning

    • Working in petrochemical / hazardous environments

    • Hydrojetting, catalyst handling, heavy lifting, and site fabrication activities

  • Proficient in:

    • MS Word & MS Excel

    • Preparation of progress reports

    • Email communication in English

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and planning skills.

  • Ability to work in a multinational environment.

  • Safety-first mindset.

  • Strong coordination with Project Manager and Client.

  • Good communication skills in English (Speaking, Reading & Writing).
