Salary Grade: SAR 3,000–3,500 + FAT

Division / Department: TS-MSS

Employment Type: Visit Visa

Duty Hours: 12 Hours / Day, 7 Days / Week

Contract Duration: 2 months

Job Summary We are looking for a experienced Millwright Technicians for upcoming SABIC shutdown/turnaround activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, alignment, dismantling, inspection, and maintenance of heavy rotating and static equipment during critical plant shutdown periods. This role requires a high level of technical skill, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment including pumps, turbines, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, blowers, and valves.

  • Perform accurate alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and precision instruments.

  • Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, and mechanical issues; prepare detailed reports on findings.

  • Replace defective components such as bearings, seals, gaskets, shafts, and couplings.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and job plans to execute tasks safely and accurately.

  • Work efficiently to meet strict shutdown schedules while maintaining excellent workmanship.

  • Assist with rigging and lifting operations for heavy components following approved safety procedures.

  • Strictly adhere to all shutdown safety protocols including PPE usage, LOTO procedures, and permit-to-work systems.

  • Coordinate with planners, supervisors, and safety teams to ensure proper execution, documentation, and compliance.

  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, jacks, and related equipment.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Industrial / Technical Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright Technician in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial shutdowns.

    • Strong background in rotating equipment maintenance during shutdowns is essential.

  • Preferred Certifications:

    • OSHA / Aramco Work Permit Holder / SABIC Safety Certifications

    • Rigging & lifting operations training

    • Laser alignment certification
