Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level QA Engineer (Data & ETL Testing) to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across enterprise data warehouse (EDW) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience validating data movement, transformation, and quality in both on-premises and cloud-based data platforms.
This role involves close collaboration with data engineers, architects, and analysts to test ETL processes, data pipelines, and reporting layers while enhancing QA automation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Data & ETL Testing:
Perform source-to-target data validation using SQL (manual and automated).
Validate transformations and ensure data completeness across ETL pipelines.
Test ETL workflows, dimensional models, and reports.
Execute ETL processes using scheduling and data integration tools.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:
Develop and execute data validation test plans.
Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues with engineering teams.
Ensure data consistency across multiple reporting systems.
Implement QA automation frameworks for data testing.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Partner with business analysts, data engineers, and QA leads to define requirements.
Support testing infrastructure under Lead Data QA Engineer guidance.
Prepare detailed reports on data validation results and quality metrics.
Job requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
2–7 years of experience in data warehouse or ETL testing.
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL, and Data Quality concepts.
Proficiency in SQL, RDBMS, and ETL validation.
Experience validating reports in Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to provide off-hour support when required.
Preferred / Important Skills
Hands-on experience with SSIS and MS SQL Server.
Exposure to Snowflake and DBT environments.
Familiarity with QA automation tools and frameworks.
Understanding of ETL workflows and hybrid (on-prem/cloud) data architectures.
Experience with Insurance data is a plus.
