Job Summary

Job Title : Media Strategy Director

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Media Strategy Director to lead integrated media planning across digital, social, and traditional channels. This role blends analytical rigor, creative problem-solving, and leadership to deliver high-impact media strategies aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate is fluent in modern media terminology (DSP, CPA, IVT, ROAS, AVOC) and excels at translating complex performance data into actionable insights for both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee media planning and strategy for multiple accounts

  • Serve as senior media lead across digital, social, and traditional platforms

  • Develop and present strategic media plans and recommendations

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account, Strategy, Creative, and Analytics teams

  • Manage the full media planning lifecycle from research to execution

  • Ensure campaigns meet defined KPIs and business objectives

  • Lead high-level media partner negotiations to maximize ROI

  • Mentor and manage media supervisors and strategists

  • Identify emerging media trends, technologies, and opportunities

  • Support new business pitches and agency growth initiatives

  • Maintain deep understanding of audience insights and competitive landscapes

  • Oversee team performance, workload distribution, and professional development

  • Specialize in specific media channels as needed (programmatic, social, broadcast)

  • Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail in all deliverables

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, buying, or strategy

  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

  • Proven experience managing cross-channel media strategies

  • Hands-on experience with media platforms and tools (e.g., DSPs, paid social, analytics)

  • Strong knowledge of media research and audience measurement tools

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage teams and build strong stakeholder relationships

  • Strategic, analytical, and creative problem solver

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
