Job description

We have job opportunity as “Mechanical Technician” for 6 Months Shutdown.

• Carry out maintenance, dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating and static mechanical equipment, such as:

o Pumps (centrifugal and reciprocating)

o Compressors

o Gearboxes

o Turbine o Mixture

o Fin-Fan

o ID

o FD

o Blowers and fans

• Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment tools.

• Conduct equipment inspection and troubleshooting to detect faults or wear.

• Replace defective parts including seals, bearings, gaskets, shafts, couplings, and mechanical seals.

• Follow technical drawings, isometrics, and job packages accurately.

• Support mechanical scopes during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities.

• Work safely under SABIC’s permit-to-work system, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures.

• Coordinate with other teams (electrical, instrument, rigging) to execute integrated work packages.

• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly handled and maintained.

Job requirements

• Education: Technical Diploma or Industrial Certificate in Mechanical Maintenance or related field.

• Experience: o Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial plants.

o Proven experience in shutdown or turnaround maintenance is essential.

• Certifications (Preferred):

o SABIC or Aramco Permit to Work Holder

o OSHA or site-specific safety certifications

o Basic Rigging & Lifting safety awareness (optional)
