Job description

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our growing civil litigation practice in New York City. This is a hands-on role offering substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and direct courtroom exposure from day one.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior litigators on a broad range of civil disputes, including commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment matters, real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, professional liability, and general civil controversies in both state and federal courts.

Key responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, affidavits, and other court submissions; conducting legal research and analysis; managing discovery; preparing deposition materials; assisting with hearings and trials; handling electronic filings; maintaining litigation calendars and deadlines; and communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

This role is ideal for an attorney seeking accelerated litigation experience, mentorship from experienced trial attorneys, and increasing autonomy in managing active matters.

Job requirements

Requirements
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
• 1–3 years of post-bar litigation experience
• Strong understanding of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, New York CPLR, Federal Rules of Evidence, and local court rules
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and litigation-related documents
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Professional communication and client management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced litigation environment

Preferred qualifications include admission to the Southern and/or Eastern Districts of New York, experience in commercial or employment litigation, familiarity with e-discovery tools, and prior judicial internship or clerkship experience.
