Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Commis III – Indian Cuisine to join a professional kitchen team in Kuwait. The selected candidate will assist senior chefs in preparing authentic Indian dishes while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, gravies, and traditional Indian dishes, along with a willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the daily preparation and production of Indian cuisine.

  • Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, spices, and other cooking essentials.

  • Assist in preparing Indian curries, gravies, dals, rice dishes, and other traditional preparations.

  • Support the preparation of Indian breads and accompaniments under supervision.

  • Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and cooking instructions.

  • Maintain mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready before service.

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations and equipment.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Minimize food wastage and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.

  • Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.

  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or professional kitchen is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Indian spices, gravies, curries, and food preparation methods.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.

  • Must meet the specified nationality, gender, and age criteria.
