HSE / Safety Officers – Transmission Line & Substation - Kutch

Location: Kutch, Gujarat

Contract: 1 Year

PROJECT DETAILS

Transmission Line (TL) – 765 kV, 250 km (3 EPC Packages)

  • 765 kV Double Circuit (D/C) Transmission Line of 250 km.

  • Route: Kutch 765/400 kV Z2-MPSS to 765/400 kV Load Pooling Substation (LPSS).

  • Executed through 3 EPC contractors.

  • Scope includes foundations, tower erection, stringing, insulator installation, ROW, conductor handling, and multiple work fronts.

  • Requires strict HSE enforcement across high-risk activities.

Substation (SS) – MPS 400 kV & 765 kV (Main Pooling Station)

  • 765/400 kV Main Pooling Station (Z2-MPSS) at Kutch.

  • Aggregates power from multiple 400 kV Sub-Pooling Stations (SPSS).

  • Scope includes GIS/AIS equipment, transformers, control buildings, civil works, cabling, trenches, and BOP works.

  • Requires strict adherence to safety norms for civil, mechanical, and electrical activities.

POSITION: HSE / SAFETY OFFICERS (PMC – TL & SUBSTATION)

Candidates will be assigned to either Transmission Line or Substation based on experience.

Job requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards on all project activities.

  • Conduct site inspections for foundation, tower erection, stringing, equipment installation, and civil works.

  • Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Train and supervise workers and site teams on safety protocols, PPE usage, and work-at-height or electrical safety.

  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and follow up on preventive measures.

  • Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure statutory and client HSE compliance.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and dashboards.

  • Conduct emergency drills, toolbox talks, and audits.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: BSc (PCM) / Diploma / BE (Electrical or Safety-related)

  • Experience: 8–10 years in HSE/Safety for Transmission Line or Substation projects

  • Experience in 765 kV / EHV projects preferred.
