Position Overview

The Senior Full Stack Developer will design, develop, deploy, monitor, and support enterprise-scale applications supporting distribution center and warehouse operations. This engineer will work within cloud-native, event-driven architectures utilizing Java microservices, Kafka messaging, Kubernetes infrastructure, and Dynatrace observability tooling.

The role requires strong ownership mentality, operational maturity, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production environments independently. This position will collaborate closely with architecture, DevOps, QA, product, and business teams while contributing to platform resiliency, scalability, and long-term modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications supporting warehouse and supply chain operations.

  • Develop Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

  • Build clean, maintainable, and scalable APIs aligned with enterprise engineering standards.

  • Contribute across frontend and backend systems while maintaining strong full stack collaboration.

Kubernetes Platform Engineering (Critical Requirement)

  • Deploy and operate applications within Kubernetes production environments.

  • Troubleshoot:

    • Kubernetes clusters

    • pods

    • services

    • ingress controllers

    • networking issues

    • deployment failures

  • Support production stability and platform resiliency initiatives.

Event-Driven & Kafka Development

  • Develop Kafka producer/consumer integrations supporting real-time operational workflows.

  • Implement:

    • retry handling

    • DLQ patterns

    • asynchronous messaging

    • fault tolerance

    • recovery strategies

  • Support reliable communication between enterprise warehouse systems.

Observability & Production Support

  • Utilize Dynatrace for:

    • monitoring

    • tracing

    • alerting

    • root cause analysis

    • performance optimization

  • Build operational dashboards and monitoring solutions.

  • Participate in production support and incident response activities.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Build and support CI/CD deployment pipelines using Harness.

  • Manage artifact lifecycle using JFrog Artifactory.

  • Support containerized deployments and rollback strategies.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on operational automation initiatives.

Collaboration & Engineering Leadership

  • Partner with Architects, QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

  • Participate in:

    • code reviews

    • architecture discussions

    • sprint planning

    • technical documentation

  • Mentor junior engineers and reinforce engineering best practices.
