Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer with strong background in petrochemical and oil & gas contracting projects. The candidate must have expertise in tendering, bid preparation, cost estimation, and shutdown/turnaround project evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze tender documents and bid packages from prestigious clients.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates based on:

    • Site visits

    • In-house team evaluation

    • Scope of work analysis

  • Develop BOQs, manpower plans, and resource loading charts.

  • Prepare cost breakdowns for:

    • Mechanical works

    • Erection activities

    • Industrial cleaning

    • Shutdown & turnaround projects

  • Estimate projects involving:

    • Hydrojetting

    • Catalyst handling

    • Heavy lifting

    • On-site fabrication

  • Coordinate with planning and project teams for accurate cost projections.

  • Prepare commercial and technical submissions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in petrochemical / hazardous environments.

  • Support contract clarification and pre-award meetings.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in a contracting company for Petrochemical / Oil & Gas projects.

  • Experience in shutdown and turnaround project estimation.

  • Experience in reputed contracting companies preferred.

  • Work experience in Jubail / Yanbu region preferred.

  • Similar petrochemical experience in India may be considered.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred from reputed institution).

  • Primavera Certification – Preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Tendering & bid preparation

    • Cost estimation & BOQ preparation

    • Resource loading charts

    • Plant turnaround & shutdown costing

    • Hydrojetting, catalyst handling, heavy lift & fabrication works

    • Petrochemical / hazardous work environments

  • Proficient in:

    • MS Word & MS Excel

    • Report preparation (Daily / Weekly / Monthly)

    • Email communication in English
