Job Title: Databricks Technical Lead

Location: Cincinnati, OH or Charlotte, NC (or willing to relocate before Day 1)

TOP SKILLS:

Databricks certified technical lead, Python, Data Domain experience

Project - recently transitioned from MS Azure to Databricks. They are in the infancy stage of setting up data domains and therefore need an expert in this area. They are looking for someone who is an expert in Databricks to lead this team.

Soft Skills - Strong ability to lead and communicate across several technical teams in an agile environment; on and offshore. Transparency and sticking to timelines are also important soft skills.

Must have

Excellent communication

Proven leadership skills - especially the ability to mentor and lead others

Very strong Databricks experience

Strong Azure experience

Strong Python and SQL experience.

Strong DevOps (Terraform and CI/CD at a minimum)

ETL experience - Informatica a plus

Great to have

Unity Catalog experience

Knowledge of data governance security

Experience in building micro-services in any language

We are seeking a seasoned Databricks Technical Lead to join our HR Systems Engineering team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the experience of over 420,000 associates by leading the design, build, and optimization of our data platform, services, APIs, and cloud migrations.

HR Data Domain & Security:

• Build and manage the HR data domain, ensuring a scalable, well-governed, and secure data architecture.

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and data masking to protect sensitive employee information.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other data privacy regulations.

• Design and implement audit logging and monitoring to track data access and modifications.

• Work closely with HR and security teams to define data retention policies, access permissions, and data anonymization strategies.

• Enable secure API and data sharing mechanisms for HR analytics and reporting while protecting employee privacy.

• Work with Oracle HCM data structures and integrate them within the Azure Databricks ecosystem.
