Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager with a strong background in Data Engineering and deep expertise in banking and financial services data. This role focuses on building scalable, compliant, and business-aligned data products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Interview Mode: In-person required


Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Define and prioritize data product roadmap aligned with business goals

  • Translate business requirements into actionable data solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Data Engineers to build scalable data pipelines

  • Partner with Data Analysts and Data Scientists for data usability

  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance standards

  • Implement data quality, integrity, and governance policies

Data Lifecycle & Release Management

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of data products

  • Oversee releases, deployments, and version control

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement

Technical Oversight

  • Guide teams on data architecture, pipelines, and best practices

  • Work with Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, ETL/ELT workflows

  • Stay updated with industry trends and tools

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor performance and optimize data products

  • Troubleshoot issues and improve system efficiency

Documentation & Training

  • Maintain documentation for data systems and processes

  • Conduct training sessions for stakeholders

Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Data Product Manager or similar role

  • Background in Data Engineering

  • Expertise in Snowflake, Python, PySpark, SQL

  • Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and pipelines

  • Strong knowledge of banking/financial data and compliance

  • Experience with CI/CD, release management, and version control

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure, Databricks

  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka or streaming technologies

  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies

  • Prior experience in banking or financial services
