Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineer II to join our growing data and analytics team. This role focuses on building scalable data management systems, developing high-performance pipelines, and ensuring enterprise-wide data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, contributing to data architecture, integration, and advanced analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines and management systems.
Develop and optimize algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
Ensure solutions align with business needs and industry best practices.
Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing systems.
Establish processes for data mining, data modeling, and data transformation.
Develop custom software components and analytics applications.
Research and recommend new ways to leverage data for business impact.
Collaborate closely with data architects, scientists, and IT teams.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and data resiliency procedures.
Continuously improve data quality, reliability, and performance.
Job requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
Strong understanding of data mining, data modeling, and algorithm development.
Familiarity with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hive).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
