Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of technical tasks related to operating radiographic and X-ray equipment and producing diagnostic images. The technologist will assist with invasive procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Special Procedures, and Electrophysiology Lab.
This role involves working closely with physicians, registered nurses, and cardiovascular technicians to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Schedule: Day Shift
Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Key Responsibilities
Operate X-ray and radiographic equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Ensure proper equipment settings for radiographic exposure while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Position patients accurately for specific anatomical views using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment.
Process images accurately and ensure proper labeling and documentation for interpretation.
Verify that all procedures are properly transmitted and archived.
Function as a scrub person and table panner during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Serve as a monitor person during procedures as required.
Participate in the rotation for on-call emergency and add-on procedures.
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and sterile techniques.
Additional Responsibilities
Follow downtime procedures when systems are unavailable.
Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and operational objectives.
Perform job functions safely according to organizational safety standards.

Participate in continuing education, training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Current Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Illinois.
Current ARRT Registration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
