Job Title: Buyer (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Employer Industry: EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)

Project Type: Cross Country Pipeline Projects (Oil and Gas Industry)

Experience: 4-8 Years

Salary: SAR 5,000 - SAR 6,000 per month (depends on the candidate's caliber and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure electrical and instrumentation equipment and materials for cross-country pipeline projects in the oil and gas industry.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in E&I products.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand procurement requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify new suppliers.
  • Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and forecasts.

Job requirements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in procurement within the EPC industry, specifically in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment and materials used in pipeline projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
