What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Platform Engineer to support and enhance mission-critical systems across Capital Markets, with a specific focus on Foreign Exchange (FX) trading and the Wallstreet Systems application. This role combines technical platform engineering expertise with business analysis skills to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant FX systems that meet the evolving needs of trading desks and operations.
As a member of an Agile squad, you will collaborate with developers, traders, and operations teams to deliver seamless integrations, optimize system workflows, and maintain platform stability in highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure uptime, reliability, and scalability of FX platforms, including Wallstreet Systems and Aphelion.
Provide L2/L3 production support for application workflows, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive issue prevention.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine requirements and implement incremental improvements.
Support integrations across Trading, Sales, and Operations, ensuring smooth data and transaction flows.
Partner with Data Scientists, DBAs, and Operations to deliver analytics, ETL pipelines, and automation solutions.
Define and maintain deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines for FX applications.
Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and service reliability practices.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
Support testing efforts to ensure performance, functional correctness, and adherence to IT security/compliance standards.
Job requirements
Qualifications
Hands-on platform engineering or systems engineering experience, preferably in capital markets or financial services.
Knowledge of FX trading workflows, settlements, and market operations.
Experience with Wallstreet Systems or comparable treasury/trading applications.
Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in on-call/production support rotations.
Understanding of regulatory compliance and IT security best practices.
Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe).
