Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Build large-scale distributed systems supporting enterprise platforms.
Develop highly available, resilient, and fault-tolerant cloud-native services.
Design APIs capable of handling significant transaction volumes.
Make technical decisions involving performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
Build asynchronous and event-driven integrations.
Deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
Develop CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and Helm.
Implement logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring for production systems.
Troubleshoot complex production issues across services and infrastructure.
Develop automated unit, integration, and service-level tests.
Participate in code and technical design reviews.
Identify and address technical debt.
Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices.
Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams.
Take operational ownership of applications after deployment.
Success Profile
The successful candidate will think beyond individual services and understand how backend components behave within a larger distributed ecosystem. They will build systems that are scalable, observable, reliable, resilient, and production-ready, while remaining actively hands-on with software engineering.
