Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team and play a key role in evolving our existing Android application. The ideal candidate will have strong Android development expertise, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and be passionate about delivering high-quality mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for an existing Android application.

  • Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable Android code.

  • Contribute to application architecture and technical strategy.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver solutions.

  • Improve application performance, reliability, and overall user experience.

  • Stay current with Android platform updates, technologies, and industry best practices.

  • Promote coding, testing, and design best practices.

  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering excellence.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience.

  • Strong professional experience building and shipping Android applications/features.

  • Proficiency in Kotlin.

  • Deep understanding of Android SDKs and APIs across different OS versions.

  • Experience working with large-scale applications and complex architectures.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and asynchronous data handling.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

  • Experience with performance optimization.

  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and collaboration with design teams.

  • Experience with Git/version control.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred / Plus

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.

  • Experience contributing to architectural and technical decisions.

  • Experience mentoring junior Android developers.
