Analyzer Technician

Department: TS – MSS
Employment Type: FTC on Rolls / Work Visa
Duty Hours: 08 Hours per Day | 6 Days per Week
Location: As per Project Requirement
Salary: SAR 6,500 + FAT (as applicable)

Job Summary

The Analyzer Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of online and laboratory analyzers to ensure accurate and reliable process measurements. The role supports safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations while strictly adhering to engineering procedures and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on process analyzers including gas chromatographs, pH, conductivity, oxygen, moisture, sulfur, and other online analyzers.

  • Carry out calibration, validation, and performance testing of analyzers to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational and quality standards.

  • Troubleshoot analyzer system faults, sample conditioning systems, and associated instrumentation.

  • Read, interpret, and work with P&IDs, analyzer schematics, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, and technical manuals.

  • Maintain analyzer shelters, sample handling systems, utilities, and analyzer cabinets in healthy operating condition.

  • Ensure all analyzer maintenance activities are executed in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and OEM recommendations.

  • Comply strictly with HSE procedures, including Permit-to-Work (PTW), gas testing, confined space entry, electrical safety, and lock-out/tag-out practices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, calibration reports, breakdown logs, and documentation.

  • Support plant startups, shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities as required.

  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, and Laboratory teams to resolve analyzer-related issues efficiently.


Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / Technical Certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Analytical Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Analyzer Technician in maintenance roles, preferably in petrochemical, oil & gas, or industrial environments.

  • Experience working under international industrial standards is preferred.

  • Knowledge of DCS/PLC interfacing and analyzer communication systems will be an added advantage.
